Team building
Build a stronger, more resilient team
Our team building program is designed to fast-track learning. We do this by challenging you to step out of your comfort zone.
That’s why we use horses and work outdoors.
In fact, our favourite groups are ones where team members aren’t that familiar with horses. This environment encourages you to be really present, not distracted by your phone or mentally preoccupied. And it’s in these moments learning is amplified – you get to dig a bit deeper, encourage your team to dig a bit deeper, and forge stronger connections.
But it’s not all hard work!
Our aim is for you to enjoy the challenge because we believe laughter also enhances learning. It’s also our job, as experienced horse people and team leaders, to tailor the program to meet individual and team needs and to keep everyone, and every horse, safe.
While we’re talking about horses…..we use horses because they are great teachers. They teach us a lot about ourselves, the way we show up, our strengths and weaknesses. Their very survival requires them to be astute readers of their environment and body language. Working well with horses requires gaining their trust and respect, it requires empathy, emotional intelligence and non verbal communication skills. You need to be patient, persistent and resilient.
If you think your team could benefit from a teacher like this and you’re interested in challenging your team to build connection and trust, we’d love to hear from you.

Process of building your team
The foundations
We believe there are three key pillars to building effective teams – presence, connection and trust.
Our program works from presence, to building connection and trust – with horse and human team members.
We will teach you how to stay safe, the basics of horsemanship, how to “read” a horse and how to “connect”.
Theory into practice
Now we bring in our horses to amplify the learning experience. Teams get to work on building connection and trust as they tackle a series of activities with their new equine team member.
Practice under (a little bit of) pressure
Finally, because the work environment can throw curve balls, we do a bit of pressure testing of the team as we move into “the challenge.” This is all about putting the learnings to purpose and it’s how we make diamonds!
Is this for you and your team?
We cater for all levels of inexperience!
The program gives you the skills and confidence to work safely with one of our lovely horses. You can probably also expect some honest and direct feedback from your horse!
We will introduce your team to the basics of horsemanship. Over a half day you will learn the fundamentals of how to “read” a horse, how to “connect” and put this new knowledge to the test with a range of team and personal challenges.
The lessons you learn on the day are directly transferable to your personal and professional life.
